McMurtry Spéirling Goes on Sale
Escape physics for $1,000,000
Welcome to the weekend!
The McMurtry Spéirling is now on sale to the general public and that’s just preposterous.
For those who aren’t aware, the 1,000hp fan-car is arguably the craziest land based vehicle ever built. That amount of power combined with it’s infinite aero wizardry means we’re now approaching the absolute limit of grip, only impeded by the limits of tire technology. Seriously, just click here to see it demolish the Goodwood Hill Climb record - and no, that video isn’t sped up..
If you ask us, £820,000 sounds like a bargain for a land based fighter jet - but good luck to whatever mere mortals dare explore it’s limits 😅

Formula E is starting to mature as a racing series
Formula E at Monaco 2023
Formula E will hit the 10-year mark as a championship in 2024 and it’s sometimes easy to forget that it’s still such a young series in comparison to others. It’s often a series that people love to hate (no sound!) but it’s proving both resilient and forward-thinking as it pulls into Portland this weekend.
From a series that almost went bankrupt in it’s first year and needed two cars for each driver because the battery could not last an entire race distance, to the close battles on track from a stellar lineup of teams and drivers, Formula E is finally starting to show its potential as it matures into it’s “teenage” years.
With fast charging pit stops set to be introduced in 2024 and an even more powerful Gen4 car in the works, Formula E is starting to demonstrate that it is a true World Championship that’s starting to feel comfortable in it’s own electric skin.
